Breaking: Former FSU football commit Justin Nunn, a talented QB/TE, has entered the transfer portal in search of a new program. His journey has been filled with challenges, from injuries to institutional setbacks, but through it all, he has remained determined.

Nunn was originally recruited by Jimbo Fisher’s staff at Florida State in 2017 but was a non-qualifier, forcing him to take the JUCO route. His career took an unfortunate turn early on when he suffered injuries in a fatal car accident during his first semester at junior college. Despite this setback, he continued to pursue his dream.

After his first JUCO program in Mississippi parted ways with him due to his injuries, he transferred to a smaller JUCO where he played limited snaps while recovering but still contributed to a state championship win at North Florida. In 2018, after North Florida’s football program folded due to financial struggles, he transferred to Birmingham JC. Though he was still working his way back to full health, he played a role in Birmingham JC’s national championship victory.

In 2019, fresh off that title win, Nunn transferred to UCF but was sidelined due to institutional issues with his transfer credits. When he attempted to continue his career at VUL in 2021, he faced more obstacles—COVID-related staff shortages led to administrative errors, including missing books, financial issues, and a delayed semester start that prevented him from playing.

Late in 2021, he transferred to MDA JUCO, where he finally found success again, helping lead the team to a conference championship and a quarterfinal championship while playing both quarterback and tight end. His performance caught the attention of former WSSU head coach Kienus Boulware, now the defensive coordinator at Alabama A&M, who had recruited Nunn back in JUCO.

In 2023, Nunn transferred to Alabama A&M, but once again, circumstances outside of football derailed his plans. A campus housing crisis left over 130 students—including more than 10 football players—without a place to stay, forcing him to enter the transfer portal once more.

Now, Nunn has a fresh start ahead. With four years of eligibility remaining and immediate eligibility waivers from 2021 and 2023, he is ready to contribute to a new program. His story is one of resilience, perseverance, and untapped potential.
